Understanding Zakat & Nisab

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, representing the purification of wealth. It is mandatory for every adult Muslim who owns wealth equal to or exceeding the "Nisab" for a full lunar year. Our calculator simplifies this process by using live gold and silver rates to determine your eligibility in real-time.

The Nisab threshold is equivalent to 87.48 grams (7.5 tolas) of gold or 612.36 grams (52.5 tolas) of silver.

How to Calculate?

To calculate your Zakat, you must sum all your zakatable assets, including cash, gold, silver, and business merchandise. From this total, you subtract any immediate debts. If the final amount is above the current Nisab value, you are required to pay 2.5% of that wealth as Zakat.
